Abstract text

NASA’s Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON) dataset continues to provide new understanding of the dynamics of the ionosphere-thermosphere system. Numerous studies from a range of international institutions have already utilized these data and more discoveries will be found as these data are analyzed. To facilitate their use, the ICON team has been working diligently to improve the data products and user convenience. Over the last six years the ICON team has refined and validated six level 1, seven level 2, and five level 4 data products from the start of science operations on 15 November 2019 to the end in November 2022. We recently introduced the new level 3 data products which are designed to show either a combination of level 2 data products or long term climatologies over the lifetime of the mission. Here, we present the current status of data products at all levels, a timeline for when the finalized versions were released or will be released as well as some examples of the new level 3 data.
