Observations
This page includes links to frequently used ground and satellite based observations. Please contact us if we overlooked a useful resource. The CSSC will review your request.
Databases includes ground and space based observations
- CEDAR Madrigal is an upper atmospheric science database used by groups throughout the world (e.g., ISR, GPS TEC, DMSP, FPI, meteor radar, ionosondes, ISR model runs) If you have any questions about appropriate use of these data, contact brideout@haystack.mit.edu
- Space Physics Data Facility (SPDF) is the NASA active and permanent archive for non-solar heliophysics data
- European Space Agency mission data
- (e.g. Swarm, GOCE)
- University of Colorado Space Weather Data Portal
(e.g., solar data, solar parameters, magnetospheric observations, neutral density from CHAMP & GRACE, magnetic indices, magnetometer data)
Satellite observations (might include some ground based)
- CDAAC provides data from more than a dozen GNSS radio occultation data COSMIC1/2, CHAMP, C/NOFS
- FORMSAT-7/COSMIC-2 ionosphere data, e.g., RO, global specification ionosphere (GIS) TEC data assimilation, DART/TIEGCM forecasting model
- TU Delft Thermosphere Data
(e.g., neutral density and neutral wind from CHAMP, GRACE, GOCE, and Swarm) - GRACE with official Level 1 and Level 2 data
- CHAMP
