Abstract text

Observed deep atmospheric convective short-wave gravity waves generated by derecho storms within the Ionosphere. Global Ultraviolet Imager (GUVI) data is compared to Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) TEC Signals. This research observes established Derecho storms across the United States from 2020 to 2024. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of gravity wave perturbations generated from derecho storms, and to find a more complete understanding of gravity wave dynamics and their effects throughout the atmosphere
