Abstract text:

The purpose of this study is to characterize and clarify the abilities and limitations of GNSS measurements at a 1 Hz sampling rate in the context of high latitude scintillation. This is an in-depth analysis of a scintillation event that took place near the vicinity of Poker Flat Research Range (PFRR) in Alaska on October 17th, 2015 using multiple GNSS receivers with different high and low sampling rates. This analysis is substantiated with co-located all-sky image (ASI) optical data and co-located Poker Flat Incoherent Scatter Radar (PFISR) data.
