Abstract text:

Using data throughout 2020-2021 from the Super Dual Auroral Radar Network, SuperDARN, specifically from the Kodiak, King Salmon, McMurdo, and South Pole sites, we have compiled a list of ‘high-activity’ days, where the observed line of sight plasma velocity exceeded 1 km/s for more than thirty minutes at a time and focused on cases where the velocity rapidly changes direction within the chosen interval. We examine the data geographically and examine the correspondence between features in the aurora features in the flow field.
