Abstract text

In this poster, we first present the statistical features of EPBs during a solar cycle over China using the machine learning method. We then show a storm-time 'Super-EPB' event over China on 1 December 2023 using multi-instrument observations. The internal characteristics of the 'Super-EPB' were investigated. Besides, the prompt penetration electric field (PPEF) and perturbation dynamo electric field (PDEF) within the Super-EPB were successfully separated to clarify their roles in the burst phase of the 'Super-EPB'. We also explain why the 'Super-EPB' was limited to within 40°N over China.
